NLCS has its largest television audience since 2010

NEW YORK (AP) — The NL Championship Series had its largest television audience since 2010 despite lasting just four games. The New York Mets' sweep of the Chicago Cubs in a matchup of big-market teams averaged 7.9 million viewers on TBS. The network said Thursday that was the most since the six-game Giants-Phillies series five years ago on Fox. The audience was up 55 percent from last year's four-game ALCS on TBS between the small-market Royals and Orioles.

Lamar Odom taken from Las Vegas hospital to Los Angeles

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Lamar Odom left a Las Vegas hospital and is now in the Los Angeles area to continue his recovery a week after being found unconscious at a Nevada brothel, a family representative said Tuesday. The former NBA star was transported by helicopter from Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center in Las Vegas around 5 p.m. Monday, according to a statement from Alvina Alston, publicist for Odom's aunt JaNean Mercer. She did not say where he has been taken in Los Angeles.

Knicks' Fisher has altercation with Matt Barnes

NEW YORK (AP) — Knicks coach Derek Fisher was involved in an altercation with Memphis Grizzlies forward and former teammate Matt Barnes in California on Saturday, a person with knowledge of the details said. The New York Post, citing an anonymous source, reported Wednesday that the altercation was because Fisher is dating Barnes' estranged wife. Fisher filed for divorce from his wife, Candace, in March.
