EXCLUSIVE: Hawks Sefolosha Breaks Silence
ATLANTA (AP) - Thabo Sefolosha is set to play his first game with the Atlanta Hawks since an encounter with New York police left him with a broken right leg.
Sefolosha says he'll probably play less than 15 minutes in Wednesday night's preseason game against the San Antonio Spurs while he continues to work himself back to 100 percent condition.
He missed Atlanta's first two preseason games while standing trial on the charges resulting from the incident with police, which occurred in April during the final week of the regular season. Sefolosha denied wrongdoing and was acquitted of all charges last week.
Now, he's eager to focus on basketball again after missing the Hawks' run to the Eastern Conference final. He hopes to win a starting job at small forward.
FOX 5 Sports reporter Justin Felder got this exclusive interview with Sefolosha prior to Wednesday night's game with the Spurs.
