'Crimes of the Future' review: For body horror maestro David Cronenberg, 'surgery is the new sex'

“Crimes of the Future,” David Cronenberg’s latest piece of body horror, arrives in U.S. theaters straight out of Cannes, where it was subject to a bit of pearl-clutching over its graphic surgery scenes. So it comes as a bit of a surprise that “Crimes of the Future” turns out to be one of Cronenberg’s more cerebral —and funny! — films. Film critic Katie Rife reviews.

‘Jurassic World Dominion’ review: Just going through the dino motions

If one were to rank the many things "Jurassic World Dominion" is trying to be, you'd list 'Indiana Jones homage', 'James Bond riff' and a 'Day After Tomorrow-style ecological thriller' all before arriving at 'Jurassic Park story.' This nostalgia-fueled popcorn flick is lacking one crucial element: It's a "Jurassic Park" movie where the dinosaurs feel almost incidental. FOX film critic Caroline Siede reviews this trilogy capper.

TV review: Get ready to fall in love with ‘Ms. Marvel’

Kamala Khan, the 16-year-old heroine of the new Marvel Disney+ series “Ms. Marvel," makes her live-action debut in a winning teen series that’s so endearing, it would still be worth watching even if it didn’t involve superheroes at all. FOX TV critic Caroline Siede reviews Marvel's latest.

Here’s what’s headed your way, cinematically speaking, in June 2022.

Now streaming: Yes, ‘Ambulance’ is stupid — but oh boy, is it fun

Michael Bay's “Ambulance” is a bifurcated mess that can’t decide what kind of movie it wants to be and so chooses instead to be several movies at once. Yet in spite of (or perhaps because of) its myriad flaws, it’s impossible to resist the film’s siren song. FOX film critic Allison Shoemaker reviews the action expert's latest, now streaming on Peacock.

‘So You Think You Can Dance’ recap: Enter the frontrunners

Welcome back to "So You Think You Can Dance" recaps! In "Auditions Show 3," we get — you guessed it — more auditions, including a ballroom dancer who doesn’t need a partner but does need lots of fringe, a performer who blends comedy and choreography and at least three possible frontrunners. FOX TV critic Allison Shoemaker recaps.

‘MasterChef’ recap: More ‘back to win’ contestants compete

Welcome back to “MasterChef ” recaps! In episode 2, “Back to Win - Audition Battles (continued),” the barrage of culinary fisticuffs continues, as four more rounds of All-Star former contestants whip up “comeback dishes” to win a coveted white apron and a chance to return to the MasterChef competition. TV critic Clint Worthington recaps the latest from the MC Kitchen.

Movie review: ‘Emergency’ is a raucous college comedy in a brutal, familiar world

The new Amazon Studios film "Emergency" has all the ingredients of a classic "one wild night" story, and it is that — hard to imagine a movie in which someone shoots pepper-spray into their own face after jabbing a stranger repeatedly in the butt with a big stick could be anything else. What makes "Emergency" unusual is that its familiar formula takes place in the reality that Black people in America experience every day. FOX film critic Allison Shoemaker reviews this Sundance hit.

‘Titanic’ on screen: An ocean of options

The first movie about the Titanic’s sinking is now lost to history — a fire in 1914 destroyed the last remaining copy — but over the last century, there has been no shortage of filmmakers compelled to depict this tragedy. Film critic Emma Fraser digs into some of the most memorable, from "A Night to Remember" to "Titanic 666" — and yes, Kate and Leo are there too,
