No Charges For Star UGA Football Player After Investigation
ATHENS, Ga. - University of Georgia wide receiver Isaiah McKenzie is no longer under investigation after a police report said he was involved in making terroristic threats towards a woman.
"The victim declined to prosecute so as far as we are concerned, the investigation is over," said a spokesperson with the Athens-Clarke County Police Department.
The woman had accused McKenzie of threatening her Monday night at the Chili's on Alps Road. According to an Athens-Clarke County Police Department report, she told police that McKenzie said he was “going to call some friends and they were going to come out and he was going to kill her.”
Georgia safety Dominick Sanders, wide receiver Terry Godwin, linebacker D’Andre Walker and safety Jarvis Wilson were all listed in the report as being witnesses.
There is no comment yet from UGA head coach Mark Richt.
