Roswell Police say man drugged woman, raped her

ROSWELL, Ga. - Police in Roswell need help finding a rape suspect.

Christopher Gampel met a woman through a dating app then slipped her a date rape drug last May, then attacked her, according to police.

Police said the 47-year-old man met the woman at a Roswell restaurant after connecting through the dating app. Investigators said he then slipped something into her drink.

Police said Gampel and the woman took a taxi to his home where investigators said he sexually assaulted her.

Gampel has a distinctive tattoo on his right shoulder described as “Celtic-type cross.”

Police are not sure if he’s done this before or if there are other victims, but it is possible. They ask any possible victims to come forward.
