Police: Atlanta Hawks player arrested after driving 128 mph
ATLANTA - Atlanta Hawks player DeAndre' Bembry has been arrested after speeding on Interstate 85, according to the Atlanta Police Department.
Atlanta Police Officer Donald Hannah told FOX 5 News that around 12:20 a.m. Friday, Bembry was clocked at 128 mph on I-85 near Buford Highway. The speed limit for that area was marked at 55 mph.
The Atlanta Hawks released a statement saying, "We are aware of an incident involving DeAndre' Bembry earlier this morning. We are still gathering information as it pertains to the situation."
Bembry was stopped without incident and arrested on charges of speeding and reckless driving, according to police.
