4 firefighters injured in Passaic, NJ house fire

Officials say the fire started just after 3 p.m. inside a home on Union Avenue.

Four firefighters are hospitalized with heat exhaustion after battling a house fire in Passaic, New Jersey on Wednesday.

Officials say the fire started just after 3 p.m. inside a home on Union Avenue.

Passaic's mayor says the family who lives there got out safely but lost all of their belongings.

The mayor says the hot and humid weather affected first responders. 

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
