EAST LOS ANGELES (FOX 11 / CNS) - A campus police officer fired at a coyote that was attacking a child Wednesday night at Cal State Los Angeles.
The shooting was reported about 8:15 p.m., according to Officer Tony Im of the Los Angeles Police Department, which was assisting in the shooting investigation.
The child's condition was not immediately available.
The coyote may have been struck, but it ran off, according to officials.
