RIVERSIDE, Ohio (FOX 13) - An Ohio officer and his partner were struggling to put handcuffs on a suspect when one of them accidentally hits the other with his stun gun.
The officers were conducting a traffic stop Tuesday in Riverside, Ohio.
There was an apparent altercation between a passenger in the vehicle and the two officers.
The officers pulled the passenger from the car and to the ground.
One officer shot the stun gun’s spines toward the suspect but ended up shooting his partner, who yelled and recoiled to the ground.
Police say the officer who was hit with the stun gun was hospitalized but is expected to recover.
