Minor injuries after bus crashes into street sweeper

GALLOWAY TOWNSHIP, N.J. (AP) — A New Jersey Transit bus has crashed into a street sweeper and the driver and a passenger were injured.

Police say the bus struck the street sweeper stopped at a red light on the White Horse Pike in Galloway Township around 12 a.m. Monday.

The bus hit a traffic light and then came to rest in a nearby wooded area. One of the two passengers on board was treated for non-life-threatening injuries, as was the bus driver.

Police say the driver, 38-year-old Yolanda Jamison, was charged with careless driving. A phone number for Jamison couldn't immediately be found.
