LOS ANGELES, Calif. (FOX 11) - If you updated your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch to the latest iOS 11 or later, you may have noticed a bug in which typing the letter "i" autocorrects to an "A" with a symbol.
Apple has not officially updated the software to fix the issue, but offered a workaround on its website by setting up a text replacement for the letter "i."
Here’s what you can do:
1) Go to Settings > General > Keyboard > Text Replacement.
2) Tap the "+" sign.
3) For Phrase, type an upper-case "I". For Shortcut, type a lower-case "i."
Apple said the error will be fixed in a future software update.
The new iPhone X hit stores Friday, which starts at $999 and features a lush screen, facial recognition technology and a superior camera.
