Fisherman rescued after falling into Manasquan Inlet

MANASQUAN, N.J. (AP) — - MANASQUAN, N.J. (AP) — Rescuers saved a fisherman who fell off the jetty into the Manasquan Inlet.

Assistant Manasquan Fire Chief Dave Kircher tells the Asbury Park Press (http://on.app.com/1LASDnO ) the man apparently fell asleep on the rocks and was startled by a friend on Monday night. The man fell six feet into the water.

Rescuers retrieved the man and he was taken to a hospital with injuries that Kircher says were not life threatening.
