Driver leads police on wild, dangerous chase

A reckless high-speed driver is behind bars after leading law enforcement on a “wild ride” across three metro Atlanta counties.

That is according to the Fayette County Sheriff who said it all started when deputies spotted burglary suspect Joseph Skinner driving on the wrong side of Tara Boulevard in Clayton County.

Skinner went off the road, zigzagged through cars, and eventually ditched the truck behind a house.

Authorities said Skinner almost got away, but a homeowner held a gun on him until police arrived.

Skinner was charged with two counts of burglary and multiple traffic violations.

Investigators are now working to figure out if he's behind any other burglaries in the metro Atlanta area.
