Deputies: Man disabled rape victim's car, ambushed her
ALTO, Ga. - A 32-year-old man was arrested on accusations he raped a woman, but it is how deputies said he did it that made the case even more frightening.
It happened Monday night on Mud Creek Road in Alton. Investigators said Mark Gibson actually disabled his victim’s car to prevent her from escaping.
Deputies said Gibson tried to ambush the woman when she was not able to start her car.
The woman managed to get away, but investigators said Gibson followed her inside her home where he raped her.
Gibson was being held without bond in Hall County Jail as of Wednesday evening.
