WASHINGTON - Police say a 20-year-old Northeast D.C. man was arrested Monday after he carjacked a nun at gunpoint.
Officials say at around 6:49 p.m., the suspect carjacked the victim after he approached her with a handgun and demanded the keys to her vehicle in the 1300 block of Quincy Street in Northeast D.C.
After fleeing the scene, the car was later located near the intersection of 26th Street and Benning Road. Police say the suspect exited the car and fled on foot, but was apprehended after a brief foot chase.
Brandon Brown was charged with armed carjacking (gun) and carrying a pistol without a license.
