Celgene completes purchase of Former Merck Property

Summit, New Jersey (My9NJ) - Celgene Corporation has completed its purchase of the former Merck & Co., Inc. property located at 556 Morris Ave. The property features 850,000 square feet of administrative office space, and 450,000 square feet of Research & Development space.

The acquisiton by Summit-headquartered Celgene, an integrated, global pharmaceutical company, extends the company’s existing Hilltop City presence beyond its 86 Morris Ave. global headquarters location. 

Combined with the completion of construction of a new 550,000-squar- foot office building at its 86 Morris Ave. location, the purchase allows Celgene to concentrate its New Jersey operations at two campuses in close proximity in Summit.
