UNCLAIMED REMAINS-MILITARY BURIALS

MIDDLETOWN — The unclaimed remains of four U.S. military veterans who were killed in action are being laid to rest Wednesday at a military cemetery in Middletown. CONNECTICUT BUDGET-ONLINE PORTAL

HARTFORD — A new online portal will provide Connecticut residents with more information about how their tax dollars are being spent by state government. Comptroller Kevin Lembo is unveiling "OpenBudget" on Wednesday. By Susan Haigh. Upcoming 300 words by 3 p.m.

— DRUG DISTRIBUTION ARRESTS. A member of Easton's police commission has become the latest law enforcement official charged with participating in a drug ring that dealt in steroid and prescription narcotics. Raymond Martin appeared Tuesday in U.S. District Court in New Haven charged with conspiracy to possess oxycodone with intent to distribute, an offense that carries a possible 20 year prison term. 130 words. — HARTFORD SHOOTING. An early morning shooing in Hartford has left a 38-year-old man dead. Police say they responded to a home on Pliny Street at about 3 a.m. Wednesday after the city's ShotSpotter system detected multiple gunshots in the area. 130 words. Moved.

— INFANT FOUND-BATHTUB Hartford police say a 1-year-old boy was rushed to the hospital after he was found unresponsive in a bathtub. 130 words. Moved.

— GUN BUYBACK Bridgeport officials are organizing a gun buyback program in the wake of recent firearm violence. Officials say the city's gun buyback program kicks off Saturday morning at 10 a.m. and will run until 2 p.m. at the Bridgeport Police Department.
