Authorities are investigating the discovery of seven dead pit bulls dumped in garbage bags on Long Island.

The Nassau County SPCA is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for placing the dogs (4 females 2 males and a 3 month old puppy) in a  New York State Department of Transportation sump located at Dietz St. and South Franklin St., Hempstead, that were found September 12, 2018.

The Nassau County SPCA is offering the reward because it feels someone knows who placed the dogs there.
