The woman behind Miss Piggy
Miss Piggy, the Phillie Phanatic and KC Wolf. What do these 3 characters have in common? They were all created by Bonnie Erickson.
Bonnie moved to NYC to work in theater years ago and never left.
"I was very curious about things. I was prepared when luck came my way, I had something to offer," Erickson said.
And that luck turned into an interview of a lifetime with Muppets creator Jim Henson.
"I never heard him say anything bad about anyone. He was very positive, " Erickson said.
Bonnie and Jim Henson worked together off and on for around 20 years. She created not only Ms. Piggy for the Muppets family, but also Statler & Waldorf. Bonnie and her husband, Wayde Harrison, also started their own business. Harrison/ Erickson Inc. makes puppets for commercials and sports teams mascots.
