Disability rights activists gathered at Princeton University Friday to protest controversial remarks made by tenured university professor Peter Singer.
Singer, a bioethicist, has been criticized for his view that, "Killing a defective infant is not morally equivalent to killing a person. Sometimes it is not wrong at all."
Alan Holdsworth, an advocate with Liberty Resources, says this view is similar to the 1930s Nazi view of terminating babies to create a master race.
"This is how the Nazis used to justify parents handing over their children for the gas chamber," Holdsworth said.
The protesters are not calling for the school to fire Singer or for him to resign, but to have a more inclusive curriculum. The school declined comment on this issue, and Professor Singer could not be reached by email or phone.
