Intersex fish, male fish with signs of female reproductive organs, have been found in rivers and lakes in New Jersey, according to a new US Geological Survey study of 19 National Wildlife Refuges throughout the Northeast.

The report showed that 85 percent of male smallmouth bass and 27 percent of male largemouth bass were found to have underdeveloped eggs in them.
